Tribe Gaming announces collaboration with Mavia

AUSTIN, TX (March 17th, 2022) – Tribe Gaming is announcing its first foray into P2E gaming, via an official collaboration with Mavia – a play-to-earn MMO strategy game developed by Skrice Studios.

With top mobile gaming creators, and the leading mobile gaming competitive teams globally – including a recent 2021 World Championship in Call of Duty: Mobile – Tribe is expanding its initiatives to include blockchain gaming.

Through the collaboration, Tribe has acquired dozens of land based NFTs in Mavia, where Tribe branding will uniquely appear in the game.

“At Tribe, we’ve been carefully examining the right P2E project to integrate Tribe IP inside of, and collaborating with Mavia is an exciting opportunity,” said Patrick Carney, Founder and CEO at Tribe Gaming. “We’re bullish on the future of the project, and we’re looking forward to see the continued development of Mavia as the game gets closer to launch.”

Yvan Feusi, Executive Producer at Skrice Studios, said “Our team could not be happier to have Tribe as an official partner of Mavia. As we continue to push our game further into the space of competitive gaming and esports, it is essential that we work closely with seasoned veterans of this space. Not only does Tribe have the biggest content creators in the mobile gaming space, but they also have the experience and aptitude to help Mavia develop its potential to become a blockbuster blockchain gaming title.”

About Mavia

Heroes of Mavia is a play-to-earn MMO Strategy game developed by Skrice Studios. The game takes place in a fantasy-themed island called Mavia, where players build bases on plots of land and battle neighboring bases and armies to earn in-game resources, such as Mavia’s P2E cryptocurrency RUBY. Players must strategically place defensive buildings on their base such as walls, turrets and traps, in order to defend against opportunistic attackers looking to steal resources. Resources can also be stolen from rival bases through attacking opponents with land troops, vehicle and air units. RUBY is earned through battling enemy armies, and can be used to upgrade Land, Statue and Hero NFTs.

Tribe Gaming and MOVE Network unveil limited edition NFT collaboration

AUSTIN, TX (November 23, 2021) — Tribe Gaming and MOVE reveal key details of their limited edition NFT collaboration, which revolve around Tribe Gaming’s media, esports, and cause-based NFT drops.

Tribe Gaming, in collaboration with MOVE Network, will be releasing a series of limited edition NFTs for auction. The NFTs will each unlock unique and bespoke perks, experiences, and opportunities within the Tribe universe for the holder. Tribe will be donating all of their proceeds to the Quest to Conquer Cancer fundraising initiative.

The first NFT series for auction is entitled, “One Tribe”, the tagline that unifies all six of Tribe’s world-championship-qualified teams in their quest to bring home the hardware. The owners of these editions will get access to various perks, including: private gaming sessions with Tribe creators and professionals, exclusive, not-for-sale ‘One Tribe’ merchandise, and social media amplification.

In addition, MOVE Network and Tribe will mint exclusive commemorative NFTs for Tribe’s in-house operated esports series, MSTRS.  MOVE Network will also be the presenting sponsor for the MSTRS’ weekly MVP award–entitled ‘Makin’ Moves’–in which the most valuable player of the week will receive a special NFT immortalizing their performance.

As NFTs and how they interface with gaming communities continue to evolve, we want to be in front when it comes to intertwining experiences and opportunities with these tokens. Escaping the ‘JPEG-FOR-SALE’-dynamic most folks have been exposed to will not be a short task,” said Brian Ta, Director of Partnerships for Tribe Gaming, “but with MOVE Network, we’re able to get creative to commemorate competitive results, provide exclusive access to the Tribe network, raise funds for various causes, and preserve those special moments in gaming that we hold so dear. In the end, we don’t want to be limiting the innovative technology by simply putting pictures on the blockchain; it’s all about elevating the Tribe experience, and we’re proud to say MOVE Network is helping us get there.

Whether it is commemorating competitive triumphs for its esports teams or celebrating venerable milestones for its creators, Tribe provides a multiplicity of NFT possibilities that is relatively unmatched across the gaming space,” said Edwin Lun, Group CEO of Move Network, “however, when these moments are minted into digital collectibles and then coupled with unique Tribe experiences or merchandise, that’s when something truly special is created for fans, and that’s what we intend to do.”

Welcome to the Tribe, Sean! CRL Coach | Clash Royale

Today, we’re excited to announce the first addition to our Clash Royale League team for the 2020 season.

We believe the foundation for a championship-winning team starts with the training and support staff, so we’ve brought on one of the most storied and experienced coaches in Clash Royale history to the Tribe—coming all the way from China, welcome, Sean Kim!

A former professional Clash Royale player himself, he’s got the competitive chops to help our players maximize their potential. His achievements as a player include Champion of the 2016 DouyuTV Clash Royale Championship, and top 16 in CCGS China 2016 with team Nova Esports.

Sean also brings a ton of management and coaching experience to the table for our CRL 2020 squad – he’s coached and managed the Asian Games 2018 Clash Royale silver medalist Lciop, and acted as manager/analyst for Nova Esports and Team WE. With Nova Esports, he led their Clash Royale team to be champions in CRL China Season 1, CRL Worlds 2018, and also lead their Kings of Glory team to be the 2019 KRKPL Spring Season Champions and top 5 in the KRKPL 2019 WCC. As head coach with Team WE, Sean led the team to 2nd in the CRL China 2019 Fall Season, and was also a nominee for CRL China’s Best Coach.

We couldn’t be prouder to have Sean be a cornerstone of our 2020 Clash Royale League team—we’re confident that Sean’s got what it takes to take our team all the way through the CRL gauntlet. The Tribe’s got big plans for this season, and we’re in it to win it—expect big changes and moves from the Tribe this year!

Goodbye and Thank You, Jmonte!

The Tribe is sad to announce that we’re saying goodbye to a beloved member of our family.

Justin “jmonte” Montalbano will not be rejoining us for the CRL Fall 2019 season and will be retiring from his professional Clash Royale career to attend college.

Jmonte’s been a mainstay of our Clash Royale League roster since its inception last year, and it’s safe to say he’s become an iconic cornerstone of competitive Clash Royale – dabbing his way to victory ever since his debut in Fall 2017.

We’re incredibly proud of what he’s accomplished throughout his time with the Tribe, and though we’re sad to see him go, the Tribe supports his decision to pursue higher education wholeheartedly. From the entire Tribe family, thank you for your dedication and efforts, Jmonte!

Farewell, Spades | Clash Royale

Tribe Gaming has opted to terminate the contract of Keoni “Spades” Chung.

Spades has been a dedicated member of our Clash Royale League team over the 2019 Spring Season. As a newcomer to the Clash Royale League, his contributions to the Tribe have been innumerable, and helped our team ultimately reach the playoffs – no easy feat when we compete among the best Clash Royale squads in the world.

“Spades was a core member of our Clash Royale division this season, and it’s safe to say we wouldn’t have reached the playoffs without his efforts. Moving forward, we’re excited to watch his Clash Royale career develop, and we’ll be rooting for Spades along the way – so long as he isn’t facing us!”

– Patrick “Chief Pat” Carney, Tribe Gaming CEO

We thank Spades from the bottom of our hearts for his commitment to Tribe Gaming throughout this season of the Clash Royale League. The Tribe will be eternally grateful for his hard work and contributions to the team, and we wish him the best in his continued career in professional Clash Royale.
