We’re Entering Pro Flappy Bird! | #TRIBEFLAPPY

Today, Tribe makes history by being the first-EVER esports organization to sign a professional team in one of the world’s most beloved, skillful, and timeless games – Flappy Bird.

As a professional esports organization, we believe that Flappy Bird represents the pinnacle of competition, mechanics, strategy, innovation, competition, and teamwork in a never-before-seen way. Truly unlike any other mobile title in the world, we believe Flappy Bird is on its way to becoming the world’s number one esports title in the world. Clash Royale who? I don’t know her.

Though there may only be dozens of Flappy Bird players in the world, we believe we’ve brought together the five best of them for #TRIBEFLAPPY. In fact, in the name of our quest to become the best Flappy Bird team in existence, Chief Pat, B-rad, Lex, Kairos, and Rlight will be leaving their Clash Royale and Brawl Stars careers behind to exclusively pursue competitive Flappy Bird – we’re serious about this game, and we strongly believe in its competitive future.

Our players have been training for years to hone their skill at the most difficult game ever known to man, with strict training regimens consisting of hours-long bathroom breaks to play, you guessed it, Flappy Bird. Through strenuous exercises building their strength and dexterity, all of the players on our roster are able to do a hundred pushups with their index fingers alone, and can tap a touchscreen – a core tenet of Flappy Bird’s gameplay – at a remarkable rate of one million taps a minute. Don’t ask us how that’s possible – they’re just that good.

We know the game hasn’t been available in app stores since 2014, but here at Tribe, we don’t let silly barriers like the game not being available in app stores or a lack of competitive Flappy Bird tournaments limit us – we don’t let our dreams be memes.

Qualified for World Championships! | #TRIBECOC

Just earlier this week, we announced that we’d acquired a Clash of Clans pro team, a historic first in the game’s long competitive history. We’re pleased to say that our team’s already made a splash in the competitive scene, as the first team to qualify for the first-ever Clash of Clans World Championship!

Our squad of decorated veterans battled and three-starred their way through pre-qualifiers among thousands of the best Clash of Clans players in the world, to earn their spot at the March Katowice Offline Qualifiers for a shot at the $1 million prize pool.

From there, they traveled to Katowice, Poland to compete against seven other top teams and cemented their spot in the semifinals after a cutthroat group stage. After an incredible last-second 3-star from our captain, Itzu, against blaze.JP, we were off to the playoff finals, against DK 2nd Brigade, where we defeated them in a well-fought best of three series!

We’re hyped the first team to punch our ticket to the ESL One World Finals, and we can’t wait to see the competition unfold at the Clash of Clans World Champions in October, where the eight best teams in the world will be competing for guts and glory. We’ve already made history, and we don’t plan on stopping!

Tribe Enters Clash of Clans—Welcome, #TRIBECOC!

Today, we’re pleased to announce our entry into competitive Clash of Clans!

Clash of Clans, developed by mobile gaming giant Supercell, is one of the most acclaimed mobile titles of all time. Since its release in 2012, it has developed a huge following and maintains a passionate competitive scene. The first-ever Clash of Clans World Championship is set for this October, with an incredible $1 million in prize money up for grabs!

Our team’s sure to be a top contender for the crown. We’ve acquired team Dark Looters, the most decorated team in Clash of Clans’ history. Our five-member roster, made up of eVe Cech, eVe MAXI, Sebix, mudtke, and led by Itzu, will be competing in the Clash of Clans World Championship qualifiers as the #1 seed this March 29th-31st.

“We are grateful for the opportunity and excited to be one of the first clans to take this step into Clash of Clans esports.”

– iTzU

We’re beyond excited to have this team represent us competitively in one of our longtime favorite mobile games, and we’re chomping at the bit to be the first-ever Clash of Clans World Champions.

“My career in gaming all started because of one game – Clash of Clans. To be able to return to my roots by bringing Dark Looters to the Tribe is a dream come true! While I won’t be making an appearance on stage anytime soon, I’ll be fiercely rooting for these guys as they make their way to the Clash of Clans World Championship.”

– Chief Pat, Tribe Gaming CEO

World Champions! | Vainglory

#TRIBEVG | We are your WESG Vainglory World Champions!

The Tribe’s insanely proud to say that our Vainglory squad overcame all adversity to take home the WESG Vainglory World Championship title for the USA, making us the first-ever two-time Vainglory World Champions!

Ever since our first taste of glory when we conquered the competition at the 2017 Vainglory World Finals in Singapore, we’ve been hungry to take the world stage again and prove our skills against the best teams around the world. Our roster was made up of Chuck (midlaner), Gabevizzle (support), Hami (top lane), Oldskool (botlane), and of course, ttigers (jungle).

Since our national win in October, we grinded endlessly as the American Vainglory representatives in Chongqing, China at the WESG Grand Finals last week.

Following a tough loss to our long-time Korean rivals, Team Ace, in the group stages, we came back to defeat both Hunters, the Chinese representatives, and the Japanese team GGNEWtyge2nd, to earn our place in the semifinals. With us in the top 4 teams were Team Impunity (Singapore), Team Sly (Germany), and of course, Team Ace.

Our team swept Team Sly in the semifinals 2-0, after a dramatic last push. From then on, we braced ourselves to face Team Ace in a climactic confrontation for the ages.

Tribe’s had a long history with Team Ace, as both competitors on the Rise and friends offline. They were our opponents in the Grand Finals of our first World Championship, where we defeated them 4-1. We faced them yet again last December in the VPL World Invitational, where we suffered a loss at their hands and were eliminated from the competition.

This time, things were different. At the historic Chongqing Olympic Stadium, we faced off against Ace for the third time. Despite a seemingly close start to game one, Team Tribe took the game in 27 minutes after a dramatic teamwipe. Game two played out a little differently—an aggressive mid-game push for the Vain Crystal amidst the chaos gave us the 2-0 sweep against Team Ace in 15 minutes, winning us the World Championship title!

Watch the VOD of our historic WESG Vainglory World Championship win here!

We’re ecstatic to have brought home the Vainglory World Champion title back home to North America. Vainglory is where Tribe started, and we can’t wait to defend the title against the competition next Vainglory Worlds. #TRIBEWIN

Welcome, Hami! | #TRIBEVG

Welcome to the newest member of Tribe Vainglory, Josh “Hami” Wirtz!

We’re pleased to announce that Vainglory veteran Hami’s joined the squad as our top laner.

Coming from a rich competitive background, Hami boasts one of the most impressive competitive resumes in the game, having played at almost every major tournament in recent history. With a reputation as one of the most mechanically-skilled players in the region (and the world), he and our squad are sure to tear up the circuit – our first conquest being the WESG Vainglory Grand Finals, where we hope to reclaim our throne as the Vainglory World Champions for the second time.

Despite being the newest addition to the team, he’s spent months with our lineup practicing and building team synergy – Hami’s sure to be a force to be reckoned with on Sovereign’s Rise. Don’t sleep on #TRIBEVG!

Welcome to the Tribe, Secretlab!

Tribe Gaming is excited to announce our official partnership with Secretlab, our new official gaming chair sponsor!

As a mobile gaming organization whose players practice upwards of 8 hours a day, the Tribe couldn’t be happier to partner with Secretlab—their chairs are stress-tested and professional gamer-approved, meaning our players will find a perfect balance of comfort and performance in Secretlab’s line of chairs.

“Mobile gaming is fast becoming a mainstay in esports, and professional mobile gamers also require high-performance equipment as they face the same rigours and demands. We’re proud to be partnering with Tribe Gaming, who showed the world they are one of the top mobile gaming teams when they won the Vainglory Worlds Championship in 2017, just months after their organisation was formed. From today, we’ll equip their mobile gamers with our ultra-comfortable and award-winning chairs to keep them comfortable and focused for their long hours of practice and gaming.”
—Ian Alexander Ang, co-founder and CEO of Secretlab

Our affinity for Secretlab dates back to Tribe Gaming’s breakthrough Vainglory Worlds Championship win in 2017, where we earned the title of World Champions in these very chairs—you could say Secretlab’s our good-luck charm. Our staff and players could not be more excited for this partnership, and we couldn’t imagine a better chair provider to do it with.

“This partnership with Secretlab seemed like destiny after winning the Vainglory World Championship while sitting in their signature chairs. We’re excited to push mobile esports forward alongside Secretlab, and we’re looking forward to winning a number of additional championships in the comfort of their chairs.” – Patrick “Chief Pat” Carney, founder and CEO of Tribe Gaming
