Welcome to the Tribe, Ford!
AUSTIN, TX (November 10, 2021) — Tribe Gaming, the largest mobile gaming esports organization in North America, has announced a sponsorship with Ford, continuing the wider push for Ford into gaming with sponsors and strategies to fuel fandom by enhancing enthusiasts’ off-the-field experiences.
As one of the leaders in mobile gaming entertainment, Tribe will produce a bevy of content featuring Ford vehicles, including an episodic series where top Tribe creators explore and build deeper connections with their largest geographic communities. Additionally, the parties will collaborate to tell the stories of some of the most influential content creators in all mobile gaming for the very first time.
With Ford acting as the exclusive automotive sponsor of Tribe, Ford will provide Tribe a fleet of Tribe-branded Ford vehicles, enabling and enhancing mobility for Tribe’s top mobile gaming esports players and content creators.
“Joining forces with Ford can’t be understated – it’s one of the biggest moments in the history of Tribe Gaming,” said Tribe Gaming Founder/CEO Patrick Carney. “Ford has been in the driver’s seat of automotive innovation for over 100 years. As we look to drive forward the future of mobile at Tribe, they’re a dream partner for pushing limits on one of the fastest growing platforms in gaming.”
Ford recognizes gaming as one of the most significant forms of media and entertainment. This sponsorship with Tribe is another manifestation of the dedication Ford has to gamers, following several game launches and integrations in 2021. A goal of Ford is to build brand affinity and loyalty among gamers by adding value and showing up authentically.
“The excitement so many have for gaming is apparent and contagious, and as we reach out these younger, passionate gamers, Tribe’s dynamic and fun content can help bring the Ford brand to life for this new audience,” said Suzy Deering, chief marketing officer, Ford. “Tribe is the perfect sponsor to help introduce Ford to their millions of 18–35-year-old followers, showing them how we can meet their needs, both on the road and off the field.”
Per details of the sponsorship, Ford branding will be integrated across all Tribe Gaming content, including the famous Blue Oval logo featured prominently on the Tribe Gaming competition jerseys. The collaboration will also see a new ‘Plugged In’ series on the Tribe Gaming social platforms, featuring behind-the-scenes communications from Tribe’s esports teams.
Tribe previously raised over $1 million in funding from celebrity and industry leaders, including Spurs Sports & Entertainment, Gordon Hayward of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, and mobile gaming veteran Kristian Segerstrale. In August alone, Tribe’s powerhouse of creators and players garnered over 100 million views on YouTube around mobile gaming.
