CrossFire is a pillar of the FPS genre, known for its raw, tactical intensity. Its gritty origins didn’t align with the high production standards fans now expect from modern esports. For the 2023 CrossFire West League season, the league needed an identity that honored the game’s military roots while still looking like a premier competition. It also had to be clean and highly visible for viewers, flexible enough to feature every team, and recognizably CFWL wherever it appeared.
We built a “Tactical-Premium” identity grounded in structure and precision. The palette pairs high-contrast charcoal grays with tactical yellows, accented by warning-label typography and technical blueprint details. That visual language reinforces CrossFire's strategy and utility. The system is modular, so team logos slot in easily while the league maintains a dominant presence.

On air, we designed a broadcast package inspired by military heads-up displays and command-center interfaces. We built every scoreboard, bracket, and pick-and-ban overlay to be as legible as possible without distracting from the high-speed action. The result was a cinematic broadcast that felt as tactical as the game itself.
To keep the community engaged throughout the season, we developed an aggressive social media kit. These assets, from match-day announcements to MVP spotlights, used “glitch” textures, scanlines, and heavy industrial framing to create urgency. By maintaining a strict “technical” aesthetic across all digital touchpoints, we ensured the CFWL 2023 season had a distinct and unmistakable brand authority.

CFWL 2023 established a distinctive brand that carried through the full season. One unified system covered broadcast, bracket, and social, giving the league clear brand authority and a consistent viewer experience from the first match to the finals. The modular framework also provides the league with a scalable foundation for future seasons.
